Reviews
The second Vietnamese place I've tried in the city. It was pretty good, although I think I might prefer the other place (Pho and Roll) a tad bit more. Nonetheless, I ordered the vermicelli bowl in the 'pork n roll' style (without lettuce) as well as the black tea mango boba/bubble tea with passion fruit pop boba.
The vermicelli noodles were pretty good, and came in a good portion. The price is quite fair for the portion. The carrots were delicious. Very well marinated and the perfect balance of savoriness to sweetness. Crunchy and fresh.
The sauce was also pretty good. I will say, it's on the sweet side. Personally, I like my sauces sweeter though, so it wasn't a problem. Decent amount of sauce too.
What I wasn't that big of a fan of was, unfortunately, the meat. It was hard and kind of chewy, not tender. Also, the flavor was kind of strange, almost stale-tasting. It didn't take like the maple sugar-flavored meat I thought it was going to be. But, the meat portion was solid.
Finally, I thought the boba was really good. I know some people come here just for the boba, and I can see why. It's not overly sweet and has a great flavor. I couldn't really taste the bitterness in the black tea, which is good. Tasted mainly just like mango. And the popping boba is amazing! Soft and easy to pop, great fruity flavor.
All in all, a nice spot for Vietnamese sandwiches and bowls. Do not overlook the boba, as that's really good. Fresh and decent prices. Pork isn't the best.
One of the worst sandwiches I’ve ever had anywhere. I ordered the signature sandwich and it was made with processed pork belly cut into a perfectly prepackaged rectangle. I spit out most of this unforgettable sandwich.
The Pork Banh Mi is so refreshingly fresh and tasty! Their vermicelli bowls are on the smaller side, but tasty. I’m usually in for a tea, and occasionally treat myself to a Banh Mi.
Needless to say, thanks to the food and the ladies who run this place, I’m a regular!
I tried the Banh Mi, and the house made kimchi. They're really fresh and tasty. My friend tried the pho, she said it was great. Definitely a must try place if you love the cuisine.
The Bahmi tastes really good. The bread is soft inside! Also, the sauce the use is surprisingly good. I really hope I can have that sauce in my kitchen. The milk tea is also special.
Awesome sandwiches and drinks. Everyone is so friendly. Do yourself a favor, thou, and order online and pick it up. I waited a long time when ordering at the counter because it seemed there were so many online orders ahead of me. I'll bet they get that figured out though.
I like the sandwiches better than the bowls...the bowls are just OK here. Get the sandwich.
Got the viet special banh mi. The bread was super tasty combined with the ingredients. I thought the carrots and veggie mix could have had slightly more vinegar. Great sandwich for the price
Took time to make the drive to finally try it out. Had the Viet Special and really enjoyed it. Everything seemed to be perfectly balanced. This place is definitely worth a visit to try out. Wish it was closer to me, but will make more trips to try some of the other ones.
